Our Weight Loss Program
Foundations Medical Center Medical Weight Loss Program is designed to assist you in improving your quality of life using diet and lifestyle changes, exercise, education, appetite suppressants (natural or pharmaceutical), and medical monitoring for weight reduction. Dr. Kyle Chavers, M.D. and his team are experienced in working with complex patients and are truly compassionate and eager to assist you in reaching your weight loss goals.
We all know how hard it is to lose weight and maintain the weight loss you worked so hard for. In order to achieve a lifelong healthy weight, you must engage in behaviors that promote weight loss and maintenance. But, easier said than done, right? That’s why Dr. Chavers has created this 12-week weight loss plan designed to help you reach and maintain your weight loss goals.

HOW IS OUR PROGRAM DIFFERENT? WE TAKE A FUNCTIONAL APPROACH.
Multiple factors contribute to weight gain other than simply calories in-calories out. Our functional approach seeks to discover and reverse other problems hindering your ability to lose weight such as:
HOW does it work?
The first step involves a comprehensive medical evaluation intended to rule out any hidden cause of unwanted weight gain or inability to lose weight. You will be given a lab order prior to beginning the program. Once your labs are done and we have received your results, you will have your visit with one of our medical providers who will go over your history and lab results. They will make recommendations based on the findings and if you so desire, will write any prescriptions you may need. For example, if it is determined that you have thyroid dysfunction and require replacement that may be prescribed. You will then have the choice to follow-up with Foundations Medical Center to continue treatment of your medical condition or follow-up with your current primary care physician. Next, you will begin your visits with our Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Elizabeth Trapp who will go over the detailed program guide and get you started on your food plan. From there, you will be given instructions on when to follow-up with Elizabeth, based on your needs and how comfortable you are with your plan. At each follow up visit, you will discuss challenges, ask questions, and determine whether any changes need to be made to your diet. You will visit our office weekly for your weigh-ins, lipotropic injections, sauna treatments and IV drips, if you so choose.
