She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Professions/Physician Assistant from Kettering College of Medical Arts and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. Amy’s journey of discovery and awareness of functional medicine started early in her career when she noticed that patients often had a long list of unexplainable symptoms. Amy wanted to find the reason why these patients were so ill, not just resolving the issue with a prescription. Her passion is to help patients understand the root causes of their health issues, then equip them with the necessary tools to be an active participant in the healing process.
Common conditions that she treats include (but not limited to): autoimmune diseases, chronic digestive issues (such as IBS and food sensitivities), thyroid disease, menopause/perimenopause, PMS, polycystic ovarian disease, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, cognitive decline, obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, mold/mycotoxin illness, heavy metal toxicity and stealth infections. Amy also enjoys teaching classes which empower patients to learn more about how to resolve or improve their health conditions.
She and Dr. Chavers will work together to address your unique issues. Your symptoms are real and you deserve relief and healing. Many others having successfully improved their health through discovering and addressing the root of their illness and you can too.
